Hankook Tire participates in Road Transport Expo 2022

- A large-scale commercial vehicle trade show being held for the first time this year
- Hankook Tire to showcase commercial vehicle products including SmartFlex AH51 and SmartFlexDH51
- Latest technologies incorporated for improved mileage, fuel efficiency, and braking performance

Seoul, Korea, June 29, 2022 – Global leading tire company Hankook Tire will showcase its portfolio of premium truck and bus tires including SmartFlex AH51 and SmartFlex DH51 in the first-ever Road Transport Expo 2022 trade show held in Warwickshire, UK, from June 30 – July 2 (local time).

Road Transport Expo 2022 is a large-scale commercial vehicle trade show with 90 exhibitors from mainstream truck and trailer manufacturers and related parts makers around the world. Being held for the first time this year, the event takes place at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Center (NAEC) Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. During the event, Hankook will be presenting the medium-to-large cargo truck tires SmartFlex AH51 and SmartFlex DH51 on Stand F4.

SmartFlex AH51 and SmartFlex DH51 provide drivers with an enhanced driving experience through improved mileage, fuel efficiency, excellent braking performance, and reduced rolling resistance. In particular, Hankook’s latest technologies, such as the ‘Hidden Groove’ technology that maintains braking performance even with tire wear, and the ‘S.R Kerf’ technology for improved mileage and fuel efficiency were implemented to ensure optimized tire performance.

In addition, Hankook developers applied newly developed tire compound for significantly increased resistance to material fatigue and crack formation, and the tread designs incorporated wider tread blocks to support increased mileage. SmartFlex AH51 and DH51 are also certified with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol, an essential certification mark for European winter tires, allowing for stable driving even on snowy roads.

Hankook Tire unveiled the new SmartFlex series for the first time at the 2021 Commercial Vehicle Show held in Birmingham, England last year. Since its debut, the series has been receiving recognition for its technology.
